Raiders! It's been a week since we stepped into Stella Montis. We have some updates from Speranza with bug fixes, balance changes, and a little surprise.

Developer Note The fully upgraded Venator has been over-performing recently, capable of outgunning full squads using close range weapons. We’re re-tuning the fire-rate gained from upgrades to pull down the pacing a bit, while still keeping its damage and accuracy intact.
  • Fire-rate Upgrade Scaling: Reduced from 22/44/60% to 13/26/40%
  • Weight: Increased from 2 to 5 to match other pistols
Explosive Damage & Hullcracker
Developer Note We noticed that explosives dealt damage to more parts at once than intended, allowing weapons like the Hullcracker to kill larger drones too quickly. We’ve adjusted explosive damage to make it more consistent across the board.
  • Rebalanced explosive damage against ARC for a more consistent experience.
  • Explosions on smaller enemies (e.g., Turrets) are largely unaffected.
  • Explosions on larger enemies (e.g., Bastion) will typically deal slightly less damage.

Content & Bug Fixes

ARC Behavior

ARC machines are getting smarter. We've ironed out some erratic behaviors to make combat feel more fair and predictable.

  • Fixed a bug where ARC could call down reinforcements outside the map.
  • Shredder Updates:
    • Now detects and moves more reliably towards Lure Grenades.
    • Movement handling updated: slightly reduced turn speed, improved braking, stiffer suspension, and more consistent reactions to impacts.
    • Improved navigation to prevent getting stuck on corners when chasing players.

Map Fixes

Explorers of the world will notice fewer places to get stuck. We've done a pass on collision issues across major locations.

  • General: Barricades can no longer be placed overlapping your character, preventing clipping exploits.
  • The Dam: Fixed players getting stuck in the Control Tower elevator shaft.
  • Spaceport:
    • Added collision to staircase walls/ceiling in the Hidden Bunker.
    • Fixed wall entry exploit near Launch Tower ramp.
    • Fixed unauthorized access to locked Control Tower room.
  • Blue Gate: Fixed railing props that mistakenly blocked bullets.
  • Stella Montis:
    • Fixed collision issues near Train Station causing falling through terrain or getting stuck.
    • Removed player spawns that were too close to ARC spawn areas.
    • Fixed missing visibility collision on walls in the Business Center.

Weapons & Misc

  • Aphelion: Fixed excessively bright tracers at distance; increased blueprint drop rates.
  • Stitcher: Corrected UI stats showing incorrect reload time scaling.
  • Crashes: Fixed crashes related to Raider Voice on non-AVX2 PCs and surrendering after reconnect.
  • AMD Users: Updated recommended driver to 25.11.1 to reduce crash issues.
  • Raider Den: Your personal quarters have been "ducked out" (check it out!).

Why was the Venator nerfed?

How do I craft Deadlines now?

The recipe has become more expensive. You now need 3 Explosive Compounds and 2 ARC Circuitry (previously 2 Explosive Compounds and 1 Synthesized Fuel). This change reflects the increased value of the item.

Did the Hullcracker get a direct nerf?

Not directly, but the changes to explosive damage consistency mean it will be slightly less effective against large targets like the Bastion if you aren't hitting weak points precisely.
