The Story of ARC Raiders

Uncover the narrative and events that shape this post-apocalyptic world

The Premise: 2180

Earth is a beautiful, lethal ghost of its former self. In the year 2180, humanity has been driven deep into the shadows of the South Calabretta sinkholes. The surface belongs to the ARC, a mechanical hive-mind that terraforms the world for a purpose we still do not understand.

But humanity isn't finished. From the glowing neon hubs of Speranza, a new culture has emerged—the Raiders. They are not a military; they are scavengers, specialists, and survivors who refuse to hide forever.

The Raider Code

  • 01.No One Dies Alone: Success is measured by who you bring back, not just what you bring back.
  • 02.Waste Nothing: Every ARC alloy and circuit is a lifeline for the people of Toledo.
  • 03.Extract or Expire: The Rust Belt is a 30-minute game of high-stakes gambling. Know when to walk away.

Key Figures in the Resistance

C

CELESTE

Founder of Speranza

Celeste is the iron-willed leader and organizer of the Raiders. A survivor of the First Wave, she recognized that individual survival was temporary, but an organized community could be permanent. She operates from the central hub of Speranza, coordinating drops and extraction schedules.

"The ARC think they own the sun. We'll show them who owns the dirt."

THE RAIDERS

Community Faction

Raiders are not a monolith. From the tech-obsessed "Kitbashers" to the seasoned combatants who remember the surface, they are a diverse collective. Their common thread is the Merit System—a social currency earned by supplying Speranza with the materials needed to keep the lights on.

  • Specialization: Each Raider brings unique skills to a squad.
  • Motivation: Adventure, survival, or greed—everyone has a price.

The Narrative Arc: Post-Exodus Earth

The story of ARC Raiders is told through the objects we find in the dirt. Every blueprint, every "Merit" coin, and every scrap of graffiti in the Buried City tells a piece of the puzzle. Why did the elites leave? Why did the ARC machines stop their total destruction and start terraforming?

The Mystery of the Machines

The ARC units—APOLLO, TICKER, and larger units like the QUEEN—don't just kill; they harvest. The extraction of Earth's thermal energy suggests a goal beyond simple occupation.

The Silence of the Exodus

Decades have passed since the rockets left Acerra Spaceport. No signals have returned from the colonies. Are they prospering, or did the ARC reach them too?

The Underground Schism

Not everyone in Toledo agrees with Celeste's Raider program. Some believe we should hide further down, while others believe in total submission to the mechanical hive.
