Spotter

A reconnaissance drone with erratic, unpredictable flight patterns. Unlike the Snitch, which calls in reinforcements after spotting Raiders, the Spotter relays positional data without summoning a direct response. It is difficult to hit due to its small size and irregular movement, but destroying it quickly prevents nearby ARC from tracking your location.

Attack Patterns

Position Relay

Continuously broadcasts Raider positions to nearby ARC units, improving their targeting accuracy.

Confirmed & Extrapolated Loot

No loot data available for this machine profile.

Note: Drop rates are estimated based on community data. Higher threat machines generally provide increased quantity and quality.

Combat Tactics

Prioritize destroying Spotters before engaging other ARC, as they feed targeting data that makes every other enemy more dangerous. Their erratic flight makes them hard to hit, so burst weapons or shotguns work well at close range.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Spotter in ARC Raiders?

The Spotter is a small recon drone added as a newer ARC machine type. It flies with erratic, unpredictable patterns and continuously relays Raider positions to nearby ARC units, making them more accurate and harder to fight.

How do you kill a Spotter?

The Spotter is fragile but hard to hit because of its erratic flight path. Burst weapons and shotguns work well at close range since you do not need pinpoint accuracy. Automatic weapons with high fire rates are your best bet at medium distance.

What is the difference between a Spotter and a Snitch?

The Snitch calls in reinforcements when it spots you, bringing new Wasp and Hornet squads to your location. The Spotter does not summon reinforcements. Instead, it feeds your position data to ARC machines already in the area, making their aim and tracking better. Both should be killed quickly, but for different reasons.

Where does the Spotter spawn?

Spotters appear on all maps and are most common during recon-type map conditions. They tend to fly near groups of other ARC machines, feeding those units targeting data on any Raiders in the area.

What does the Spotter drop?

The Spotter drops Spotter Relay, Snitch Scanner, and Electrical Components. The Spotter Relay is its unique drop used in crafting.

Does the Spotter call in reinforcements?

No. Unlike the Snitch, the Spotter does not broadcast an alert that summons new ARC units. It only shares your position with ARC machines that are already nearby, improving their targeting accuracy. You will not see new enemies arrive because of a Spotter, but the existing ones will fight harder.
